• We will carry out the work carefully, competently and as set out in the work details.
• Any materials that we provide will be of a satisfactory quality and suitable for their intended purpose.
• We will start and finish the work within the agreed time period.
• We will store away our tools; equipment and ladders from any area that occupiers and the general public have access to, at the end of each working day and will leave the working area in a safe, clean and tidy condition after finishing the work.
• We will regularly dispose of any rubbish from our work.
• Our work will be carried out with consideration to the occupiers, site personnel, local traders and members of the public.
• We will consult with and inform the occupiers, neighbours & adjacent businesses regarding our site program and activities.
• We will maintain respectable standards of dress that are appropriate to the weather conditions.
• We will maintain respectable standards of behaviour.
• We will take all reasonable steps to; prevent or minimise health & safety risks to the occupiers, site personnel and members of the public; minimise environmental disturbance, nuisance or pollution from the work; protect trees and vegetation and make sure that any temporary protection for the work is safe and weatherproof.
• We will keep to all our legal duties and responsibilities.

Our statement of general policy is:

• to provide adequate control of the health and safety risks arising from our work activities;
• to consult with our employees on matters affecting their health and safety;
• to provide and maintain safe plant and equipment;
• to ensure safe handling and use of substances;
• to provide information, instruction and supervision for employees;
• to ensure all employees are competent to do their tasks, and to give them adequate training;
• to prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health;
• to maintain safe and healthy working conditions; and
• to review and revise this policy as necessary at regular intervals.
